Overview¶

Merchant Registration API is a solution designed for DECTA processing partners, specifically Acquirers, offering them full configurational and operational control of payment acceptance entities, consisting of critical objects, necessary for successful card present and card not present transaction processing, such as Legal Entities, Merchant IDs, pricing plans and Terminal IDs.

The Merchant Registration API supports the following management tools:

• Merchant locations - set up and configure Merchant IDs for merchant Legal Entities, which are necessary for successful payment acceptance. This includes configuring business details, supported card brands, processing currencies, websites, billing descriptors, etc.
• Point-Of-Sale device management - provision and maintain Terminal IDs necessary for supporting card-present transactions.
• Operational Status Control - dynamically manage Merchant ID and Terminal ID states (e.g., Active, Suspended, Closed) to control transaction processing availability and maintain risk compliance.
• Pricing & Rate Plans - create, update, and assign flexible pricing models (Rate Plans) to merchant Legal Entities and/or specific Merchant IDs.
• Entity Retrieval & Verification - retrieve real time data about the current configuration of Legal Entities, Merchant IDs,Terminal IDs, and Rate Plans within DECTA processing systems.
